I'm back! It's been awhile since my last post. I've been busy with work and our new dog. I'm so glad my boss got me this set last weekend at the new Bricks World store in VivoCity (4th Lego Certified Store here in SG).

What's Included? Features?
  • 158 number of pieces
  • Includes 2 minifigures: mom and pop
  • Features a buildable farmhouse kitchen scene including an outside wall with gardening tool elements, opening window, shelves, table, 2 seats, food cart with rolling wheels, plus assorted elements including a turkey, apple in a bowl, pie, pumpkin, storage jars, bottle and 2 glasses
  • Measures over 3” (8cm) high, 2” (6cm) wide and 2” (6cm) deep

 The back of the box
What's inside the box?

Look at that dining area and food cart with turkey!

I like this food cart so much! There's a pie at the bottom. The turkey is really big and the drumsticks are detachable. =)

The dining area. You can store 3 more bottles inside the cupboard. The wine glasses are for the wine bottle inside the cupboard. Oh it really is a thanksgiving set. =)

The outside wall with gardening tools, mason jars and autumn leaves.

All in all I really like this small set. The food cart, dining area plus mom and pop minifigs made me buy this holiday set. I wouldn't mind displaying this with the winter toy set beside our small Christmas tree. =)

*Purchased this set for S$17.01 at Bricksworld (member price)

Have a brickin' awesome day! ツ

Going to Legoland Malaysia from Singapore.

I book most of my bus trips to Malaysia at EasyBook. There are many direct bus trips now compared before. It should be easy peasy.

My itinerary:
9:00 AM - Pickup is at Big Box Jurong East. Just go to the main entrance.
5:15 PM - Legoland Malaysia to Newton Food Centre

Arrived around 10:00 AM.

There are young students since it's a weekday. Because I already purchased my ticket online, I just went straight to the gate. No queue!

Don't forget to eat at their Cafe near the entrance. They give free minifigure keychain! yay! This set meal cost me RM22 (1 lasagna plus 2 drinks).

My first ride.

I'm so proud I've conquered this ride. haha #afraidofheights

I wanted to try this. But since the staff is busy with the other players, I changed my mind.

Bigger version of my childhood game.

I bought 2 brick keychains (RM 21 each). Got it engraved too!

Here's their charging station. Of course it's free.

I'm so happy I was able to trade my minifigure to get this C-3PO minifig from one of their staff. hihi

My last ride, the boat ride.

Farewell Legoland, 'till we meet again.

I will definitely go back! It's so nice to roam around with less people. No queues. Waiting is for 5 minutes or less. I recommend to visit the park on a weekday.

*Disclaimer: The Brick Shop and the Big Shop are two different lego stores inside Legoland Malaysia. Click here for my Big Shop post.

The Brick Shop is a small store that mainly focuses on minifigures, keychains and individual bricks.

Our first activity in Legoland! It's cheap! RM33.00 for 3 minifigures, which is about SGD10. It's even more cheaper compared to the Lego store in Manila (at BGC)! So nice leh. hehehe

The result of our hardwork. 6 minifigures! I really need to buy another frame.

Their engraving service cost RM10 (both sides of the brick).

More keychains!

And here's the video of their stuff.

I really enjoyed the "Build a Minifigure" activity. I just hope they add more variety the next time I come back.

Store Hours: 10am to 6pm
Address: 7, Jalan Legoland, Bandar Medini,, 79250 Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia

The Big Shop is one of the stores in Legoland. They have other smaller stores for the individual bricks and minifigs which I will discuss on a different post.

The entrance. Big Shop is just near the theme park's entrance and exit.

Here's my video of their stuff.

Their prices:

The Simpsons House 71006 - RM 999.90
Fairground Mixer 10244 - RM 599.90
Imperial Star Destroyer 75055 - RM 599.90
SH Shield Helicarrier 76042 - RM 1,499.90
Red  Five X-wing 10240 - RM 999.90
Star Wars Slave 75060 -  RM 849.90
Star Wars TIE FIghter 75095 - RM 999.90
Star Wars Sandcrawler 75059 - RM 1,424.90
City Square 60097 - RM 799.90
City Heavy Haul Train 60098 - RM 749.90
Mini Cooper 10242 - RM 399.90
Volkswagen Camper Van 10220 - RM 499.90
Palace Cinema 10232 - RM 649.90
Detective Office 10246 - RM 749.90
Parisian Restaurant 10243 - RM 749.90

I'm quite disappointed with my visit since they don't have stocks for the lego sets which I've been looking (Parisian Restaurant, Detective Office and Thanksgiving set).

If you just want to drop by the store and not the park, you can still go in but a staff needs to accompany you. Not bad if you really just wanted to buy something. But don't forget to call first if they have stocks.

I know this may sound lame to others. But I just started collecting minifigs early this year and  I just want to share it here.

Kudos to myself. Lol. I've been buying minifigs from Lego stores, 7-Eleven, EBay and Carousell.

Here's the details for my DIY details in case you guys are interested. http://www.brickinaweso.me/2015/07/my-lego-minifigure-diy-frame.html

It's better to create your own if you have time. Saves money and the fulfillment is different.

Now thinking of buying another frame. hahaha!

My friend surprised me and gave me my early birthday present.

Look at what I've got. Yay!

She got it from http://www.minifiglabs.com/

I'm back! I actually got the complete set 6 days ago but it's been a busy weezy week.

I bought my first three series 14 without really knowing the character inside. I feel confident that there's no duplicate. But I was wrong. aww.. I got two square foot and one fly monster. I know minifig fans just feel the packet and they already know which is which. But I don't. I suck at that. Being insensitive to the minifigs, I just bought the complete set so time and money won't be wasted.

I wanted to post the bump codes for people like me who suck at distinguishing the blind packet's character. But after checking other people's bump code video/post and comparing it with what I've got, I found out that not all packets have the same bump codes. So never mind.

The blind bag/packet

Presenting, the brickin' awesome monsters of 2015! (clap clap clap. Lol)

1. Banshee - cool legs. or no legs. She really seems like she's floating.

2. Fly Monster - This minifig reminds me of my childhood Japanese show, Masked Rider Black aka Kamen Rider Black. This fly got one crabby hand. I hate flies, but this one is tolerable. lol

3. Gargoyle - This is the scariest monster minifig for me. I don't want to look at his face. Ok next!

4.Monster Rocker - "I wanna rock with you all night." I like his extended head. The protruding eyebrows makes him more Frankenstein-y.

5. Monster Scientist - hmm. this doesn't look like a monster for me. But I like the head gear too (extended head) and the laboratory flask with pink chemical.

6. Plant Monster - haha look at that face!?! This minifig reminds me of the man-eating-plant in Nintendo's Mario bros. haha. brickin' awesome!

8. Skeleton Guy - I like the pumpkin. Lego has been releasing different skeleton minfigs so this is not new at all.

9. Spectre - I like this one! It's like a mellow and friendly ghost. hehe

It glows in the dark! how awesome! =)

9. Spider Lady - She's so fierce. She looks like my friend's colleague. hihi. Kidding aside, this minifig is pretty awesome too. The cape's quality is better than the other minifigs. It's like a rubberized plastic.

10. Square Foot - I just like the camera accessory. I'm also not sure what's the connection between the character and the camera. hmm

11. Tiger Woman - This is super cute. I've read that it's the famous (or most expensive) of this series. Very fierce but cute.

12. Wacky Witch - Haha whatta face! with one tooth.

13. Wolf Guy - Boooonne. so long.

14. Zombie Businessman - brainss.. I like his attache case!

15. Zombie Cheerleader - "Hep hep hooray!" This kid looks innocent but she's going to eat your brains out.

16. Zombie Pirate - aka Captain Hook

As a minifig fan, I can say that all the series 14 monsters are worth collecting. No design is a waste.

*Purchased the complete set, 16 unique characters, for S$80 at Carousell
